Nicholas has been making dances as long as he has been dancing. His interest in theatre arts led quickly to dance at a young age. Originally from central Massachusetts, he trained locally in tap and jazz before leaving home to attend Walnut Hill School for the Arts as a ballet major. He completed a year in the Boston Ballet School trainee program before his acceptance to The Juilliard School led him to New York City. His favorite performance credits include the NYCC Encores! ensemble of Brigadoon directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, the international tour of Andy Blankenbuehler's Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and originating a central role in Ryan Heffington and Randy Weiner’s immersive Seeing You off-Broadway. He has danced on television with the cast of NBC's Maya & Marty, toured with Keigwin & Company, Elf! the Musical, and as the lead character in iLuminate's full-length show: Artist of Light.

Nicholas’ choreography has represented The Juilliard School on tour and awarded him residencies at Nimbus DanceWorks and Urbanity Dance Company. It has been seen in NYC showcases such as BC Beat, The New York Jazz Choreography Project, and the Pushing Progress Showcase Series. He uses a critical eye for storytelling, expert movement-coaching, and precise musicality to create clear narratives through a process full of imagination, realization, and discovery. He was recently granted a week of creative reign at Dance Lab New York, an incubator for choreography in theatre. This winter he will fulfill a commission for the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company before closing the 25th Anniversary Tour of The Phantom of the Opera where he performs in the ensemble. He is represented as both a dancer and choreographer by CESD Talent Agency.

Outside of the studio Nicholas enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and is a GYROTONIC® certified instructor.
